Cris
Brandini is a body researcher and has been dedicated to
the investigation of the body functional relationships,
since 1974.
|

These
investigations objectify the construction of new languages
in dance.
|
|
Her
formation as interpreter has begun at 06 years old with
ballet classes at the Escola de Bailado of São Paulo.
|
|

Her
first contact with modern dance, at 15 years old, occurs
through out Renne Gumiel.
|
|
At
1972 decides to invest on her formation, looking towards
a professional career, this period counts with a short probation
at the Universidade Federal da Bahia, where she knew about
The Place ( LCDS), participating in a audition and has been
accepted by the school, initiating her studies at 1973 in
the introductory course, followed by the full time course
at 1974 - 1975.

This
unquiet personality doesnt be satisfied by the strict
technique training, stimulating her to search others instruments
and mediums of expression, resulting on her mime encounter,
having between her mime masters Jaques Lecoq.

Is
in the mime that this interpreter creator lived different
improvisation techniques, finding on this a medium to initiate
her own investigations about movement. To understand how
body works become a necessity, founding some answers at
Alexander Technique, starting a trajectory that is extended
till now.

Back
to Brazil initiates improvisation classes with Maria Duschenes
( Laban 1976-1979). She started her professional
career with the Groupe Andança ( APCA Price Revelation
1978) and with the Experimental Dance Groupe JC Viola.

1981 started classes with Klauss Vianna, with whom she studied
during 6 years. |

1982 till 1985 integrates the Creativity Ateliers with the
artists team from Sesc Fabrica da Pompéia whose proposition
is the crossing of different areas of artistic production.

| Her
research at the body functionality finds a synthesis during
her formation as a eutonist, in the Escola de Eutonia da América
Latina Buenos Aires, from 1990 to 1994. So she produced
Equilibrios for the XXI Bienal Internacional de São
Paulo, 1991. |

After
the Eutonie formation started to teach at studio Nova Dança,
investigating the application of this method in the dancer
body, having realized some stage experiments with her students.
Gained support for the research by the project Sesc Dance
Movement,1996 -1997.

Cris Brandini pedagogic work will be always linked to her
art production and artistic policy since the Fábrica
da Pompéia ateliers till her own studios among those
the studio Corion 1983-1986 and Estúdio Move ( 2004-2008)

The
course proposition looks to explore some possibilities
of the relationship between the body and the video camera.

on a constant process of communication with the environment

the conscious training, the method develops a central muscles
